Our Story

Meet Jade Copeland

Hi, I'm Jade (aka “The Little Lion”) , a 32-year-old Ventura native with nearly 17 years in the restaurant industry.

At 15, my mother opened her first restaurant, doing it all on her own while raising me as a single mom. Her tenacity and hard work have taught me everything about what it takes to make it in this business. Since then, she has opened three more successful restaurants, remaining hands-on every step of the way.

I spent many years learning the ins and outs under her guidance. When I turned 30, I felt it was time to carve my own path.

The Little Lion is my tribute to my mother (a July Leo ♌️) who instilled in me a fiery spirit and the desire to grow. This project reflects my passion, gratitude, and connection to our wonderful community.

The outpouring of support has been overwhelming. Starting a business is no small feat, and this journey has been humbling. With the best intentions, diligence, and an open heart, I've found great fulfillment in every moment.
